Setting up your profile

Updated over 3 months ago

Your profile is your first chance to shine and make a lasting impression! It's the key to jumping to the top of the leaderboard, so let's make sure it's as complete, clear, and you as possible. After all, you want to stand out, right?

📸 Adding a profile picture and banner

Let’s add a little DNA to your profile! A profile picture and banner is your chance to humanize your presence and make it easier for others to recognize you. Want to get creative? Go for it! Just make sure it still reflects the awesome person you are.

👑 Select information like gender and country

Want to see your name in the leaderboard? It all starts with the basics! We use your gender and country to show you in the right leaderboards, so be sure to fill those out. No details = no leaderboard fame!

🌍 Change Language

While Surfr.'s default language is English, we get that some people prefer other languages! That's why the app is also available in Spanish, German, Dutch, and Portuguese. So go ahead and switch it up and select the language that suits you best.

🚀 Minimum Jump Height

Here’s where you can adjust things based on your experience. The minimum jump height setting helps you choose which jumps to include in your sessions:

  • Beginners: Set it to 1.0 meter to capture every jump from 1 meter and up.

  • Advanced riders: Want to skip those smaller jumps? Set it to -for example- 3 meters, and only the jumps over 3 meters will be included.

⌚️ Watch user note: The setting on the phone only applies to sessions tracked with your phone. If you’re using a watch, you'll need to adjust this directly on your watch settings.

🪁 Adding your kites

Want to track your sessions with the kites you use? First, add them to your profile! You can choose from the kites already in our database, and it’s easy to add your new gear. Just follow the on-screen steps and don’t forget to hit save!

Made a Mistake? No worries! You can delete a kite and start fresh whenever you want.

Got a New Kite? Archive your old kites! They’ll no longer show up in your kite selection, but you’ll still have all the information saved for future reference.
