Take Your Sessions to the Next Level with the Surfie 🚀

You can add a dynamic overlay to your kiteboarding, windsurfing, or wing-foiling videos (available with Surfr Plus). Show off your stats, like jump height, airtime, speed, and more. It’s super easy - follow these steps to get started

How to create a Surfie?

  1. Open the Surfr App on your mobile device.

  2. Go to your Profile.

  3. Find the session with the jump you want to create a video for.

  4. Tap on the specific jump

  5. Tap View jump and then Export Surfie.

  6. You’ll receive the video as an mp4 file via email.

  7. Use your preferred video editor to combine your jump video with the overlay.

🎬 Editing tips for your Surfr Overlay

Adding the Surfr overlay to your video can take a bit of fine-tuning, but with the right tools it’s easy to get great results. Follow the steps below to align your jump perfectly and create a clean, shareable video.

Edit your video with CapCut

  1. Upload the video of your jump to CapCut

  2. Tap Add Overlay and upload the Surfr Overlay video

  3. Replace and adjust the overlay’s timing to match your jump

  4. To remove the background, select the overlay, tap Remove Background and choose Chromakey.

  5. Select the grey colour and fine-tune intensity.

  6. Save and share your video – don’t forget to tag @the_surfr_app!

Edit your video with InShot

  1. Upload the video of your jump to InShot

  2. Tap PiP and upload the Surfr Overlay video

  3. Replace and adjust the overlay’s timing to match your jump

  4. To remove the background, select the overlay, tap Cutout and choose Chroma.

  5. Select the grey colour and fine-tune the strength and shadow as you wish.

  6. Save and share your video – don’t forget to tag @the_surfr_app!
