How to use onboard coaching on the Apple Watch?
The on-board coaching on the Apple watch will teach you how to ride with speed in your tacks and while approaching your jump. This is an essential skill for higher jumps, as riding with speed will also improve your edging technique.
Open the Surfr.App on your watch.
Swipe left to navigate from the Start button to Settings.
In Advanced Settings, enable On-Board Coaching.
Return to Settings and go to Button Settings.
Assign a button combination to Switch Display.
Start recording your session and press your assigned button combination to toggle the display.
The first line displays the maximum and average speed on your most recent tacks. This is not related to jumps.
The second line displays the maximum and average speed of the last 6 second before your jump take off and appears after you land a jump
How to use onboard coaching on the board mount?
Edging and Speed are two of the single most important factors for riding in control, and getting the maximum boost potential. The Surfr app will clearly indicate how you are doing on both of them right from the board.
Open the Surfr.App on your phone.
Tap Record, then swipe left to view Board.
Go to Settings.
Toggle On-Board Coaching to enable it.
Tap Save and Start recording.
As soon as you land a jump you will get a clear and simple analysis of your jump on board. With a clear thumbs up/ thumbs down indicator in bright colours, you will directly know what to do.
