WearOS and Apple Watch update

Updated yesterday

The Surfr update from March 13 brings the full Surfr experience to Android watches (Wear OS).

Until now, Wear OS riders didn’t have access to the same features as Apple Watch users. With this release, the Android watch experience reaches feature parity with Apple Watch, unlocking powerful tools directly from your watch during your session.

We’ve also introduced a brand-new mode available on both Android and Apple watches, along with various bug fixes and performance improvements to make the Surfr App experience on your wrist smoother and more reliable.

New Features for WearOS

Downwinder Mode

With Downwinder Mode you can:

  • Track your progress along the route

  • See your destination

  • Monitor the next beach during the session

This mode is designed specifically for riders doing long downwind runs.

Speed Mode

Speed Mode introduces a dedicated speed display for riders who want to clearly monitor their speed during a session.

It allows you to:

  • View speed data more clearly while riding

  • Focus on performance metrics during the session

Coaching Mode

This advanced tool helps you:

  • Analyze your jumps instantly

  • Improve technique

  • Push your jump height further

It’s built for riders who want to train and improve their performance.
