Location permission - Confirm that the Surfr App has permission to access your location at all times.

Battery Saving mode disabled - Ensure battery saving mode is disabled on your device while recording a session. If this is enabled, we can't make enough measurements a minute which influences the measurements.

Most Xiaomi and Huawei phones require additional battery permission settings to avoid the app being killed while tracking a session. For detailed instructions on how to set this up, please click the links provided for Xiaomi and Huawei.

Change display - Some people jump, some people don’t. Some want to see jump heights, others want to train for speed. You can adjust your display accordingly.

Action Button - You can link the Surfr. App to start your session via the action button to start a session with just one click. Check out this YouTube video for instructions.

Android Watches

Auto Waterlock - If available on your watch, make sure to have it enabled from the settings on your watch. This will make sure that the Watch will not respond to water while kiting, and keep the Surfr. app in the foreground. Not available for Galaxy Watch - you can use the Samsung waterlock, available via the swipe-down menu.

Always on - When this is enabled, it will keep the display always on and focussed on Surfr. It will use a bit more battery, but it can avoid app closing during sessions.
