We’ve introduced multiple modes: Big Air, Speed, Coaching, and Downwinder. Each with its own dedicated display tailored to that activity.
In Big Air Mode, the display can be customized to match each rider’s preferences. Whether you want to focus on jump height, airtime, or other performance metrics, the modular layout on Apple and Android watches allows you to choose what appears on your screen.
At this time, modular displays are not available for Garmin devices.
⌚ Apple & Android Watch Display
By default the following is shown on your display:
🟢 The green dot indicates that your device is connected to the internet. This connection is required for features such as live location and jump sharing and live chat.
📍If an orange GPS icon appears on your Android Watch, it indicates a weak GPS signal. If the icon turns red, it means there is no GPS signal available at all (only available on big air and speed mode).
To customize your watch layout, follow these simple steps:
Open the Surfr App on your watch.
Go to Settings.
Scroll down and tap Change Layout.
Select a section you’d like to modify.
Tap to choose your preferred data field for that section.
Repeat for each section until your layout matches your riding style and preferences.
If you want to revert your changes, simply tap Reset to Default in the layout settings to restore the original configuration.
💡 You can also select Nothing. This way, you can leave out information that you're not interested in to avoid distraction.
