Previously, Garmin watches couldn’t display accurate jump heights in real time, so we provided indicative heights instead.
With the latest Surfr 3.0 update (March 2025), indicative heights are gone. Now, we either show accurate heights or none at all.
Why the change? On most watches, indicative heights were unreliable and quite far off from the actual jump height. Even though these values were never imported into the Surfr app, they still caused confusion. To ensure clarity and accuracy, we’ve removed them entirely.
What does this mean for you? If you have a Garmin watch with an accelerometer with 25 measurements per second (25 Hz watches), jump heights will no longer be displayed.
