Control who can see you on the Live Views

When you’re recording a session, you appear on the Live Riders view in Discover and on local Spot Dashboard's.

Surfr gives you full control over who can see you while you’re riding. You decide how visible you are to your friends and to others on the Live map.

⚙️ Control visibility for friends and others

You can set different visibility levels for:

  • Friends - Someone you follow and who follows you back

  • Others - Everyone who is not a friend

This allows you to choose exactly who sees what and how you appear:

  • Share - Your exact live location is visible, including your profile

  • Pinned to Spot - You appear at the spot, but your exact position is hidden

  • Incognito - You are anonymous and only counted as a rider at the spot

Even in Incognito mode, you still contribute to the rider count, so the map always reflects how busy a spot is.
