If you'd like to share your information only with friends or followers, you can set your account to be private. Here’s how:
Open the Surfr. app on your mobile device
Tap on your Profile (bottom right corner)
Go to Settings (gear icon)
Select Private Account.
About your private account
We take your privacy seriously. As our community grows, we understand the importance of having more control over your personal information. With a private account, you can decide who follows you, remove followers, and stay anonymous in the Live section for non-followers.
Whether you're looking to keep your kitesurfing sessions under wraps from your boss or avoid unwanted attention from an ex, our new privacy features give you the control you need. You can access these settings easily through your Profile/Settings.
Similar to platforms like Instagram, a private account lets you manage your connections and stay in control of your experience.
Please note that even with a private account, once you save your sessions, they will still be visible to everyone. We’re continuously working on enhancing privacy features, as protecting your information is a top priority for us.
With a private account, you can:
Remove followers from your list at any time.
Approve or decline follow requests (just like the image above).
Stay hidden in the Live section for users who don’t follow you.
