With the launch of the completely rebuilt Surfr app on April 28, 2026, we’re introducing a new subscription model with three plans: Free, Plus and Pro, along with an update to PRO subscription pricing.

What are the (new) prices for the Plus and Pro plans?

When does the new PRO price apply?
The new PRO price applies at your next renewal date after April 28. Nothing changes immediately. Your current subscription and price remain active until your next billing cycle.
Why is the price increasing?
With a rapidly growing community and the launch of the completely rebuilt Surfr app, Surfr is entering its next stage. The new app introduces a wave of powerful new features and deeper insights for riders. Our updated subscription plans and pricing reflect this expanded value and support the continued growth of the platform.
Plans
Do I now need a subscription to use Surfr?
No. Surfr will continue to offer a Free plan that allows riders to record sessions and be part of the community. If you were already able to record sessions for free (for example when using a phone or Garmin), this will remain the same. Subscriptions are only required for additional insights and advanced rider tools.
What are the new Surfr plans?
Free - The essential Surfr experience to track sessions and stay connected with the community.
Plus - Additional insights and tools for riders who want more depth from their sessions.
Pro - The full Surfr experience with the most advanced tools, insights and performance features.

Why introduce a Plus plan?
The new Plus plan creates a middle option between Free and Pro. Some riders mainly use Surfr for planning sessions and reviewing their riding data, while others want the full set of advanced tools and performance features. The Plus plan gives riders who want more than the basic experience, but less than the full Pro package, a plan that better fits how they use Surfr.
This new structure allows Surfr to offer a plan for every type of rider, from casual users to committed PRO riders.
What is the right plan for me?
We’ll share more details about which plan is the best fit for different types of riders once the new Surfr app is released. This information will be added here when the update goes live.
Can I try the new features before upgrading?
Yes. Many of the new features can still be used a limited number of times on the Free plan. When you reach a limit, you can tap “Try for free” in the app to continue exploring the feature and see how the additional insights and tools fit your riding.
You can also start a 14-day free trial of Plus or Pro. During the trial, you’ll have full access to the plan’s features and you won’t be charged until the trial period ends. If you decide the plan isn’t for you, you can cancel anytime before the trial ends. The free trial is available once per user. If you have already used a trial before, it won’t be possible to start another one.
What happens to my current PRO features?
You will keep access to all current PRO features. The new Surfr launch will also introduce additional improvements and new PRO capabilities.
Billing & subscription management
Will I be notified before my subscription renews?
Yes. All PRO subscribers received an email about the upcoming changes on April 22.
In addition, Apple or Google will send a billing notification before your subscription renews, which is standard for App Store and Google Play subscriptions.
Where can I see my renewal date?
You can find your renewal date in your subscription settings of the store where you originally subscribed.

Can I change my subscription plan?
Yes. If you are currently using the Free plan, you can subscribe to Plus or PRO directly from within the Surfr app.
If you currently have a PRO subscription, you can change or adjust your subscription at any time directly from within the Surfr app.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel your PRO subscription, you will keep access to PRO until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will switch to the Free plan. You can subscribe again at any time, including choosing the Plus or Pro plan.
