On newer OPPO phones running ColorOS 16, the old Autostart setting may no longer be available. If SURFR. cannot start recording because the background/autostart permission is missing, update the battery restriction from the Battery settings instead:
Open Settings
Go to Battery
Find and open SURFR.
Change battery usage from Allow only when app is in use to No restrictions
You can also check:
Settings → Apps → App management → SURFR. → Battery usage
Set this to Always allow or Allow background activity if available.
After changing the Battery setting to No restrictions, return to SURFR. and try starting a recording again.
